Expanding P&ID creation/update services

Our P&ID update and/or creation customer service is extending much faster than expected, mainly due to the data improvement and the cost savings advantage it brings to our customers.

Our drawing service department can make P&ID adjustments based on AutoCad, Microstation, as well as in Plant 4D. The larger amount of orders and the integration of a link to our Emission data management application (SFEMP), forced us to hire extra employees.

More and more customers choose for this new approach of tagging.
The main reason is that we are adjusting from the traditional tags (metal plates), that are placed all over the plant, towards electronically tagging, because they get lost during maintenance or a shut down, while others get repainted and are no longer readable, which will eventually result in continuously updating them and returning costs.
Knowing that a refinery can have more than a 100.000 sources (possible leaks), and we calculate about three tags for each source, means that we are easily talking about over 300.000 tags for just one site. Therefore, more and more customers switch to electronic tags, attaching them on a separate layer on one of the related CAD-program. The advantage here is that these tags will always remain on the LDAR layer while the original P&ID remains intact, and that modifications of the P&ID are presented in an obvious way.
On top of this quality improvement, with data accessibility for multiple users, this advanced way of working is even much cheaper than the traditional way of tagging.
It is well accepted at maintenance departments as the staff can prepare their maintenance much easier, better and faster at their own desk (all information is available electronically).
