The Sniffers NV: Laureate KMO-Entrepreneur 2006.

Wednesday, November 22 nd of 2006. A date we can add to our list of acknowledgements, as we found ourselves rewarded by de Union of Entrepreneurs (Unizo), in general as a team, but more specific Rudy Van Baelen, as the “Entrepreneur of 2006’.

What started as a hobby 15 years ago, training dogs to detect leaks, Rudy had never imagined that this would lead to such a professional and successful company. In the meantime, we have reached an annual turnover of over 3 million euro and employ a highly qualified and motivated team of 37 people.
The dogs remained but play a less important part since the use of high-tech detection equipment and the importance of our well-trained employees.

The Sniffers has won more prizes over the years, among which:
1997 : price of young European entrepreneur
2005 : company of the year (VOKA, chamber of commerce)

Due to the persistence of the management team and maintaining our well-established safety procedures, we have a reputation of being a very safe (zero accidents with absence to work) and high-quality company.

We couldn’t have reached all this without our highly motivated employees, but most of all not without you, our customers and our long-term cooperation. You are as much a winner as Rudy Van Baelen is.

Our present package of services is divided into 2 operational divisions:

Pipeline Division:

Inspections of pipelines by helicopter, four-wheel drive vehicle or on foot
Work yard supervision and project coordination
CP inspections and installations
Coating inspections
Digitalization of pipelines and depth-of-cover survey
Set-up of an integrated GIS-system
Complete outsourcing of safety and continuity of pipelines
Leak detection of gas network pipelines, by car (laser) or on foot (FID)

Emission Division:

Fugitive Emission Measurements (LDAR) and data management (SFEMP SW)
Steam Reduction Measurements, net-analysis and data management (SNIFTRAP SW)
Flare Loss Measurements and data management (FLAME SW)
Storage tank emission measurements
Combustion monitoring and analysis
P&ID control and AutoCAD adaptations
