The Sniffers are expanding on leak detection for gas distributions.

To cover the rising command for our services concerning the systematic gas leak detection on the gas distribution networks, The Sniffers have bought extra leak detection equipment.
In 2007 we already closed several multi year contracts in Belgium and in the Netherlands.
We have done a study of the available equipment on the market and selected the most suitable for the survey.

We bought an extra gas leak detection vehicle with a laser methane detection system. This is the latest methane gas detector on the market.
The detection equipment, composed of the laser detection chamber, system electronics and a laptop PC, are installed in a survey vehicle. As the vehicle is driven along the path of a buried pipeline, samples of the atmosphere are rapidly drawn into the system and immediately analyzed. Pipeline operators can quickly evaluate the condition of the gas distribution network.

Also three new portable Laser Methane Detectors are in use in our firm. This equipment is a hand-carried device that provides the same methane detection capability as the vehicle-mounted system.
