Flare emission calculation & reporting
By using our own developed Flare Emission Management Program "FLAME", we are able to calculate the emission losses for complete flare system and for each individual leak. These emission calculations can be automatically achieved by converting the measured decibels into losses in kg/yr.
Parameters used for this emission calculation are:
• Type op equipment (e.g.: Gate Valve)
• Stream dencity (molecular weight of the product or mixed stream)
• Size of the inlet diameter of the equipment (e.g.: 6 inch)
• Delta of pressure before and after the equipment
• Measured decibel
• Background disturbance
Once all gathered information is entered into the FLAME database, one can trigger following reports, just by pressing a button:
• Monitoring list
• Repair list
• List op top n leakers
• Equipment information sheet with historical overview of all measurements
• Cross tables per site, unit, section, equipment
• Comparisons per # of sources, # leaks, % leak-rate, losses in kg/yr, losses in costs and savings
• Graphical overviews: historical overview, # sources, # leaks, losses in kg/yr, ...
This reporting tool can demonstrate you the benefits (read savings) of the implemented Flare Emission Monitoring project, which in most cases will already e a deliver a full payback of the complete costs during the first LDAR project.
