Fugitive emission calculation & reporting
Based on our own developed SFEMP Software (in close collaboration with our customers: Environmental-, maintenance- and production department), we are able to calculate the Fugitive Emissions just by pressing some buttons. The software supports both EPA Correlation- en EPA Stratified method.
The calculation method used and proposed by The Sniffers is the EPA 21 Correlation method, measuring the loss in kg/yr.
Important emission estimation parameters are:
- Stream composition (100% or mixed)
- Stream service (G / LL / HL)
- Leaking source type (seal, stem, flange, open-end, ...)
- Calculation method (Correlation , Stratified, Socmi, Refinery…)
- Time on pressure (continue, batch)
- Measured value (0-8 ppm, 9-100.000 ppm, > 100.000 ppm)
- Accessible versus non-accessible sources (extrapolation)
- Date off measurement
To allow professional data analyses and project reporting, the SFEMP software is build in a structured way and all fields are well coded to avoid double naming conventions.
Standard build-in reports are:
- Total # sources per emission class
- Total kg/yr per emission class
- Total emissions per medium/source type in kg/yr
- Historical leak evolution per source

Our standard emission report contains all required data needed to prepare your annual environmental reporting and to run your next LDAR project.
