The (very) small leaks in the bottom of storage tanks can be detected on several ways (Helium-, Laser-, FID-, PID- detection).

• Special developed tracer gas
• Using trained sniffing dogs (have proven success already many times)
• Using Flame Ionisation Detection devices

Using special developed tracer gas (non-toxic, non explosive, measurable and with a high odour), which is pressurized into the double bottom of the storage tank at a very low pressure, the detection of a leak becomes very easy, fast, accurate and reliable.
The success of this leak detection method has already been well proven at Refinery storage tanks.
