Source Inventory

The Sniffers nv/sa has developed a unique and total inventory program for steam traps. We are able to bring your whole steam system into chart and to locate and define every steam trap present.

The source inventory by The-Sniffers nv/sa contains:

• Numbering of traps
• Identification of traps

   - Mark
   - Type
   - Size connection

• Trap characteristics

   - Is the trap going to atmosphere ?
   - Is the trap isolated ?
   - Is the trap accessible ?
   - What is the level ?
   - What is the application of the trap (Steam line, heat exchanger, steam tracing)

• Location of steam traps

   - Place of traps is subscribed
   - Traps are placed on plan

• Pressure systems inventory (LPS,MPS,HPS,VHPS)
• Visual leak inventory
• Remarks are being noted

During an Steam loss program we can perform source inventories in 2 different ways:

• Complete inventory of all sources.
• Counting of all sources + full description of leaking sources only.

The preferred solution may vary from site to site depending on size, used products and available budget. The best suitable solution for each individual project will be discussed during the information exchange meeting.
